JUN 9: Adult flyover; female Roosting near nests late May and early June

The female (Jewel) has been reported several times, roosting at the SW corner of Pines and 208th. Luis reported seeing her both in the morning and evenings. on May 28, 30th, June 1 and June 2.

This morning (June 9) an adult flew over the wetlands in west Miramar exactly at sunrise (6:28 AM). It was headed from the direction of the Pembroke Pines nest flying SE towards the large lake in Sunset Lakes.

Light was poor. Not sure whether it is the male or female, but gape appears not to extend beyond the center of its eye, suggesting it might be the male (Pride):
